Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Machine Design
M.Tech in Machine Design is a post graduate program of two years duration focusing primarily on the basic concepts and processes involved in designing and manufacturing of wide range of machine components and mechanical systems. The programme includes the basic principles, design considerations and processes involved in the design and analysis. The students are able to acquire the detailed knowledge in design along with proper material selection, use of appropriate statistical concepts, and varied manufacturing techniques. The students are receiving guidance and training from highly qualified faculties who have obtained their degrees from reputed institutions such as IITs, NITs etc. Students under this specialization are able to find a suitable job for themselves in different sectors as Design engineer, Senior Project Manager, System Engineer and faculty. Further they are given opportunity to involve themselves in real time projects so that they are industry ready after the end of the program. They are doing research in new and emerging fields especially Mechanical Vibrations, Composite Structures, Active Vibration Control, Finite Element Model Updating, Noise Engineering, Condition Monitoring, Bearing Dynamics, Mechanical System Design, Computer Aided Mechanical Design, Vehicle Dynamics, Mechanisms, Robotics, Multibody Dynamics, Mechatronics, Sensors and Actuator Design, MEMS, Design of Microsystems, Nano mechanics, Artificial Intelligence Applications in Mechanical Engineering & Expert Systems for Design & manufacturing .
Eligibility B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class or equivalent CGPA.
