Quantum technology is a multi-disciplinary field crossing the traditional boundaries between nanophysics, computer science, and electrical engineering. 

As a student in this major, you will:

  • Gain a fundamental understanding of quantum physics and its real-world technological applications; 
  • Develop the requisite mathematical proficiency and mastery of physical theories to master the quantum world from a technological standpoint; 
  • Acquire the skills to conduct experiments on quantum systems and envision future technological advancements; 
  • Learn to utilize and devise computer algorithms and programs that leverage quantum-mechanical principles. 

Throughout your studies, you will develop strong skills in mathematics, physics, computer science, and electrical engineering. Upon completion of your degree, you will have tools to tackle industrial challenges involving quantum physics and develop quantum technologies for the benefit of society.
