Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU)is the first private university in Jordan. Established in 1989 to be a leading institute in higher education AAU is recognized and accredited locally and internationally, it is also a member of Arab, Islamic and international university unions.

Admission & Registration Department was established in 1990 as part of the University, it develops appropriate means to attract students and complete their admission procedures. It applies the system of granting bachelor degree to the students by using the best most advanced computers and modern recording systems as well as the Internet to facilitate online registration and inquiries about the student academic record. The Department is seeking to activate academic advising electronically.

Student life
The Deanship of Student Affairs is responsible for organising the university’s extra-curricular activities to help students discover their talents, skills, and potential. There are various clubs for students to join, as well as recreational trips and cultural events that take place throughout the academic year, such as the Annual Exhibition and Bazaar of Arab Students. Student clubs include debate club, multimedia and graphic design club, and poetry club. The Deanship also publishes the university’s newspaper ‘Amman Al-Ahliyyah News’.
