Al-Ahliyya Amman University established the Master of Biomedical Engineering program to keep up with advancements in biomedical engineering, healthcare, and artificial intelligence in biomedical engineering. The program aims to cater the increasing demand for trained and specialized biomedical engineers who can address the latest developments in the local and regional health sectors.
The program started admitting new students in the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024, and thus it is the first and the only program offered by private universities in Jordan. The program's study plan was designed to meet the needs of the local and global job market. It offers various job opportunities in fields such as managing health institutions, planning and executing health projects, developing and manufacturing medical equipment, managing medical technology maintenance, health informatics and medical data analysis, research and development centers, medical rehabilitation centers and prosthetics, as well as medical laboratories. The program also permits graduates to pursue the academic path and obtain a doctorate degree.
