The Artificial Kidney Technologies program focuses on the scientific and technical principles behind renal replacement therapies, particularly hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis systems. The program integrates biomedical engineering concepts, medical device technology, physiology, and clinical applications to prepare specialists capable of operating, maintaining, and optimizing dialysis equipment.  Students develop in-depth knowledge of kidney function, fluid and electrolyte balance, dialysis membrane technology, extracorporeal circulation systems, water treatment units, infection control, and patient safety standards. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with practical training in dialysis centers and biomedical laboratories.  Graduates are qualified to work in dialysis units, hospitals, medical device companies, maintenance and calibration departments, and healthcare technology sectors, contributing to improved patient care and life-sustaining treatment services.
