The Department offers the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. in CE). It has five major branches of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Engineering. These divisions offer mainly core and advanced optional engineering courses. In that effort, the department introduced a high quality curriculum for the ambitious students which include mathematics, basic sciences courses, humanities and other five specialized engineering courses in the field or civil engineering to produce globally competent and well-shaped Civil Engineers. The principal goals of the Department of Civil Engineering are to disseminate knowledge, gain professional skills and innovate through education, professional training and research in the interdisciplinary areas of the program that invokes challenges of contributing to economic and social growth by creating sustainable structures and built environment in the nation and the rest of the world as well.

Required Documents for Admission Copies of SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-Level/Diploma, Bachelor Degree (for Graduate Admission) or Equivalent Examination certificates and mark sheets/transcripts and SSC registration card, NID or Birth certificate (one copy each)
Original certificates and mark sheets/transcripts and SSC registration card must be produced at the time of submission of application for verification by the officer of BUBT in charge of admission.
Two passport size color photographs (Studio lab Print with White Background For ID Card).
