The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) was founded in 1964. BSUIR is the industry-leading educational establishment and a basic CIS organisation for higher education in computer science and radioelectronics.
BSUIR has 8 faculties: Computer Systems and Networks, Computer-Aided Design, Engineering and Economics, Information Technologies and Control, Radioengineering and Electronics, Infocommunications, Military, Pre-University Preparation and Occupational Guidance.
BSUIR offers a range of programs taught entirely in English.
Among academic and research staff are 2 members and 2 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, over 500 PhDs.
Key areas of training and researching in BSUIR include Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and Technologies, Cyber Security and Information Security, Electronic Economy and Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Radioelectronics and Radioinformatics, Infocommunication Technologies, Nanotechnology and Nanoengineering, Big DATA, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Medical Electronics, Game Design.
There are 42 scientific laboratories and centres in BSUIR.
The university has 12 (17 centers are listed on bsuir.by) educational centers of the worlds leading companies, where students receive additional training with certification to work with the latest equipment in the IT industry. 45 educational and scientific laboratories have been created on the basis of BSUIR together with industrial enterprises and IT companies.
BSUIR maintains strong partnerships with 168 universities and scientific organizations from 40 countries. About 1000 international students from 40 countries study in BSUIR.
The university aims are to offer educational programs in which students will be interested and to ensure that graduates are competitive and in demand in the labor market.
