The Master of Actuarial Science (Professional) is a 92 week degree that provides students with an undergraduate degree in an alternative study area an opportunity to gain an Actuarial Science degree and Part I (Foundation program) accreditation with the Actuaries Institute. To become an Actuary you would need to complete Honours or exams direct with the Institute for Part II (Actuary program) accreditation.You will gain immediate access to the very latest technologies in the Centre for Actuarial and Financial Big Data Analytics and be mentored by Australia’s leading economists, statisticians, financial analysts and mathematicians. The program will develop your skills in the challenge of crunching 'big data' numbers to create practical solutions for real world problems. Students who have successfully completed cognate programs may be eligible for advanced standing of up to 40 credit points. Bond is the only university in Queensland, and one of only seven in Australia to offer the fully accredited program by the Actuaries Institute and has recognition agreements with the Society of Actuaries (worldwide).
