The Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMedSt) is the first of two sequential degrees that must be completed to be eligible to practise medicine. This degree is not available as a standalone program. All students are required to complete both the Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMedSt) and the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Bond University to be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner in any state or territory in Australia or New Zealand. Both degrees are awarded at the completion of the MD program. Students will acquire the foundational knowledge, skills and attributes required to safely and effectively practise medicine in today’s complex healthcare environment.
