Breda University of Applied Sciences is a specialised medium-sized, government-funded higher education institute. More than 7,000 Dutch and international students from some 100 countries are studying at our institute. We offer bachelor’s and master’s programme at professional (‘hbo’) and academic (‘wo’) level in the domains of Built Environment, Data Science & AI, Facility, Games, Hotel, Leisure & Events, Logistics, Media, Tourism.

After your graduation in Breda, you are competent and qualified for entry-level positions and you have an international view of the world and your profession. To achieve this, entrepreneurship, creativity, personal and professional responsibility, sustainability and global engagement are key focus areas in our study programmes.
We strive for small scale intensive education and have adopted the teaching model of the learning community. In our learning communities, students, lecturers and professionals from the industry work together on real-life, complex and current issues in order to contribute to innovation of professional practice and to help solve societal issues. 
We offer plenty opportunities abroad, for a work placement or exchange programme. We consider international experience of great importance. Lecturers often have an international background. We think it is important that students and lecturers participate in international networks.
We cooperate with businesses which are at the top of their field. This means that you can get work placement positions at some of the big names in your field of expertise such as Samsung, Disney, Google, KLM and Hilton.
Entrepreneurship is at the core of our learning community. You learn how to convert ideas into concrete goals, actions and end results. You are encouraged to start your own business or project.
We are internationally accredited by among others the UN World Tourism Organization, the World Leisure Organization and the International Facility Management Association. Furthermore, we have an ECA certificate for Quality in Programme Internationalisation.
Our new and green campus is located near the centre of student city Breda. The campus boasts many opportunities for meeting people and finding inspiration. The city itself is fun, safe and internationally oriented.
