Admission Requirements
Note: A letter of equivalency from the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) is required for all non-MOE curriculum.
● For Students Following the Ministry of Education Curriculum:
○ Achieve a minimum score of 80% in the English subject during high school, or
○ Pass the University-administered English test with a score of 70% or higher.
● For Students from Other English-based Curriculum:
○ No additional English proficiency test is required.
● For students from non-Ministry of Education curriculum and non-English curriculum:
○ Provide a valid proof of English proficiency by achieving one of the following scores:
■ IELTS Academic: 5.0
■ TOEFL (Paper-Based): 500
■ TOEFL (Internet-Based): 61
■ Or an equivalent score from other nationally or internationally recognized tests.
Conditional Admission Requirements:
Students who meet the high school requirements but do not achieve the minimum required English scores or fail the university-administered test with the necessary score will be granted conditional admission to the program.
Under conditional admission, students must enroll in the Intensive English Program (IEP) and may register for one or two of the following General Education courses per semester:
● Computer Fundamentals
● College Mathematics
● Islamic Studies
● UAE Studies
Students will be allowed up to two semesters to pass the intensive English course with a score of 70% to continue in the program.
