Developing new ways of sustainable construction, such as self-healing concrete or recycling building materials or entire bridge sections.
New technologies for coastal protection and flooding, such as 'mobile dikes' or a sustainable sand engine in the sea, so that we can keep our feet dry everywhere in the Netherlands.
The use of remote sensing technology such as satellite data and sensors, which allows you to remotely monitor subsidence, large structures and dikes and prevent dangerous situations.
Mapping traffic flows and pedestrian behaviour, so that you can improve traffic flow in city centres and at festivals.
And of course innovations in large built structures, so that they can withstand extreme natural forces.
