The Building Physics and Services (BPS) program is about acquiring new knowledge, then new knowledge and integrating and developing design methods that lead to a sustainable, healthy, comfortable, and productive indoor and outdoor environment. The program covers a wide range of interdisciplinary research topics, with a focus on physical aspects and processes such as heat and mass transfer in building constructions, indoor air quality, lighting, acoustics, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and materials.

The research is carried out in our specialized laboratory. Well-equipped and with highly qualified technical staff to support you, the lab’s facilities allow a wide range of experiments in all aspects of building physics and services. In addition, our computing power laboratory also offers advanced simulation software like Fluent, ESP-r, Dirac, Radiance and COMSOL.
