KNU named after J.Balasagyn is implementing the following objectives in the field of teaching and education of students in the direction of of bachelors 550700 "Pedagogy":

- training of qualified bachelors, carrying out pedagogical activity in the sphere of designing and implementation of educational process in primary and higher schools, capable of solving professional tasks of continuous competence-oriented education in a rapidly changing world. As well as the development of social and personal qualities of students: purposefulness, organisation, diligence, responsibility, citizenship, communication, tolerance, improvement of general culture, aspiration to self-realisation and self-improvement in the profession within the framework of continuous education and self-education, etc.

The following disciplines are presented with options to choose in  Bachelor's degree 550700 "Pedagogy" :

• Pedagogy and Psychology;

• Primary Education.

The areas of professional activity of graduates are education and social sphere.

Bachelor's degree in the direction of training 550700 "Pedagogy" studies such disciplines of the professional cycle:

The objects of professional activity of graduates are educational process, educational environment, students' activity, own pedagogical activity.

Types of professional activities of graduates are pedagogical, organisational and managerial and professional development.

Bachelor in the direction of training 550700 "Pedagogy" should be able to solve the following tasks:

1) In the area of pedagogy:

• Formation in students of value orientations necessary for life in a democratic society: civic and patriotic beliefs of tolerance, cultural diversity, social rights, acceptance of inclusion;

• Creation of a safe  environment  among students of different ages  (psychological, social and physical), formation of healthy lifestyle skills, nature protection, energy conservation, rational nature management and adaptation to climate change);

• Planning, monitoring and evaluation of learners' activities;

  • Planning of training sessions in the subject(s), taking into account the specifics of topics and sections of the programme and in accordance with the curriculum;

• Formation of students' ability for reflection, self-assessment and self-development;

• Using the possibilities of educational environment to ensure the quality of education with the use of information technologies.

2) In the area of organisational and management activities:

• Use of legal and regulatory knowledge and adherence to ethical principles in carrying out professional activities;

• Ability to take into account the principles of sustainable development in the implementation of professional activities, creation of conditions for the protection of health and safety of life of students in the educational process;

• Organisation of interaction with public and educational organisations, children's groups and parents to solve the tasks of professional activity.

• Organisation of positive and constructive interpersonal relations of all subjects of the pedagogical process.

3) In the area of professional development:

• Conducting a professional reflection;

• Setting objectives for their own development based on the professional reflection carried out;

• Implementation of professional self-education and personal growth, design of further educational trajectory and professional career.

The duration of full-time    Bachelor's degree 550700 "Pedagogy" is  4 years, part-time 5 years.
