On this Early Childhood Studies course, students will examine childhood from a sociological perspective and expand their knowledge of child psychology. The learning will be based on theory, research and practice. The course covers a range of topics that include: UK early years policy; a young child’s digital environment; how adults support children’s learning; health and wellbeing; media reports about children; inclusion; and knowledge of practice. Students can take placements across a range of early years settings.
