The Doctoral Program of the Department of Psychology at Panteion University, has as its primary purpose the formation of researchers for the advancement of science and the development of applications in the field of Psychology. The aim is for the PhD candidates of the Department of Psychology to produce original and innovative scientific research in all the fields / objects that the department treats, in order to be able to carry out an independent and original research activity.

With the consent of the General Assembly of the Department and under the guidance of their Supervisor it is possible to enrich their educational experience, occasionally assisting in auxiliary teaching and systematically in research activities of the Department.

The structure, organization, operation and evaluation of the Doctoral Dissertation Program of the Department of Psychology of Panteion University, are governed by the provisions of law 4485/2017 (Government Gazette 114 / 4-8-2017), as well as the provisions of the Regulation Doctoral Studies, as drafted by the decision of the Assembly of the Department (31/01/2018), approved by the Senate of Panteion University, published in the Government Gazette, posted on the website of the Department and notified to the Ministry of Education, Research.

The provisions of the regulation for the elaboration of a doctoral dissertation specify and supplement the current legal framework that governs the doctoral studies and incorporates the relevant decisions of the competent collective bodies of the Department of Psychology of Panteion University.

The language of writing and supporting the doctoral dissertation is Greek. It is possible to write and support a doctoral dissertation in another language.

The dissertation follows the structure and morphology described in detail in the latest edition of the American Psychology Association
