Today the Department enjoys a vibrant academic culture that is well-established and evolves according to ever changing academic needs. In essence, teaching and research converge around what today is called International and European Governance.
The curriculum has a strong interdisciplinary character that responds to the modern needs of the country’s participation in the European and international process from a legal and political viewpoint, without neglecting the economic aspect of International Relations and, of course, European Integration. It should also be noted that a strong characteristic of the curriculum is the systematic study of both theory and practical experience on a national and international level.
In order to better organize the educational, research and administrative functions of the Department, it is divided into Academic Divisions of related fields of knowledge:
- International Relations
- International and European Institutions
- International Political Economy.
Courses on History, International Politics, Strategic Studies, Theory and Methodology of International Relations, Philosophy, History, and Sociology of International Relations, Gender, Comparative Politics, International Law, International Organizations, Diplomatic Studies, European Integration, Political Economy, Macroeconomics, Economic Development, International Economics, International Trade, etc.
