The objective of the Master’s degree program in Architecture Construction City is to train European Architects to develop quality architectural projects and to provide critical knowledge of the challenges of today’s society as well as of cultural, environmental, technical and procedural problems.

This Master’s degree program allows students to acquire skills related both to urban design and building design in its construction and technological aspects. The training profile of the program is flexible and open to continuous development allowing a better interpretation of the current uncertainty and change in professional practice. The program helps architects to enhance their resilience and ability to reinvent themselves as required by the current labour market.

The first semester “challenges of contemporaneity” focuses on emerging environmental, cultural and societal issues that involve architectural design disciplines. The second semester deals with the relationship between Project and the city. The third semester offers experiences on the theme “Project and Innovation”. The fourth semester “In-depth studies” is dedicated to multidisciplinary thesis seminars.

The high level of technical and scientific knowledge allows graduates to find a job immediately after graduation or—for those with a strong interest in research—to pursue further knowledge with a second-level Specializing Master’s program or a Ph.D. program at Politecnico. The School of Architecture ranks in the top 50 Schools worldwide of the QS World University Rankings.
