Materials are the heart of many industrial activities and constitute the core platform on which we can develop new technologies.

Materials Engineering is a discipline without application bounds and is able to offer concrete solutions for every sector: transport, aerospace, energy production, electronics, design, textile, biomedical, food, luxury, and sport.

Materials Engineering is the key sector to promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly development.

Thanks to its strongly interdisciplinary approach, this BSc programme provides the tools for understanding the relationship between materials properties and performance in operation. The skills you will acquire find application in the field of materials and production and processing technologies for both structural (metals, ceramics, polymers and composites) and functional materials (advanced materials for the micromechanical, electronic and biomedical industries).

You will become a materials engineer: a professional who is able to collaborate in managing industrial plants for the production of materials and for their transformation into finished products, as well as in the design of industrial products and related production cycles, providing specific contributions in terms of the selection of materials, technologies and process parameters that are most suitable for the final application.
