Sustainability in its environmental, economic and social dimension, and its declination in the architectural design, is the main focus of the Master of Science. A programme organised through a double track in Italian and English, to train a European architect in compliance with Directive 2005/36/EC.
The course is organised according to thematic terms, aimed at studying the relationship between design and sustainability.
First-term: Design and Society. Second term: Design and Environment. Third term: Design and Innovation.
The first year also includes introductory seminars that address ‘contemporary challenges’ for architects, of the now and future. The academic programme is completed by a twofold opportunity.
The development of the thesis, or participation in one of the thesis seminars, offered cyclically, where interdisciplinary subjects are explored in-depth and conceived as preparatory to the thesis development. Students who enrol in this programme have the opportunity to take part in research activities and extra-curricular cultural events.
They can also attend part of the educational path abroad through the Erasmus + or double degree programmes in a community of students from more than 20 different countries. As well as working as a private architect, our Master’s graduates can also work in public and private institutions and organisations involved in the built environment transformation. Besides, it is possible to attend a II level Master Programmes or a PhD course offered by the University.
