The specialist knowledge and broad-ranging skills you will develop on this programme will prepare you for a career in almost any professional environment. The BA (Hons) Liberal Studies (English) programme focuses on the history of English Literature from the medieval period, through the Renaissance, Enlightenment and Romantic eras and up to the present day. To complement your programme, you will study Shakespearean Drama, US Literature (from the colonial period to the present), Cinematic Adaption of Literature, Literary Criticism and Theory, and Creative Writing (non-fiction, fiction and poetry).
