During this year, you will take a broader look at some of the key topics on the degree programme including international relations, psychology and media studies. This will provide you with a foundation of core knowledge and skills to confidently progress onto the degree programme. The BA (Hons) Liberal Studies (History) programme is a study of the human past, societies, events and ideas. The study of history enables us to understand how the past has helped shape the world of today and influence the world of tomorrow.  Focusing on different periods in history, you will learn how to evaluate historical evidence, compare and contrast opposing viewpoints and draw your own conclusions about the world around us.
