The BSc in Digital Media and Interactive Technology programme aims to develop the required skills for market needs by providing digital media and interactive design expertise to Bahrain, GCC and the international markets.

The Digital Media and Interactive Technology (DMIT) bachelor programme seeks to advance expertise in a rapidly growing field. Students concentrate their studies in emphasis areas of the latest technology focusing on Interactive Multimedia, Web Design and Development, Mobile Apps Design, Digital Video, 2D/3D Animation, Virtual Reality, Game Design, Social Media, Digital Marketing, and computer programming. 

This unique interdisciplinary programme incorporates Information Technology, Art & Design, and Mass Communication coursework. Through three specialisations, the students will have opportunities to engage in practical labs, where students will work through the entire iteration process for digital projects to develop their career skills in IT, art and design and mass communication. 

Careers that graduates can expect to go into after graduation include Interactive Multimedia Designer, Web Designer and Developer, Content Management System (CMS) Admin, User Experience and Interaction Designer (UX/UI), Game Designer and Developer, e-Publishing Designer, Digital Journalist, Mobile Apps Designer & Developer, 2D / 3D Animator, 2D/3D Virtual Reality Designer, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Designer, Digital Video Producer, Social Media Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, E-Commerce Specialist, and more.

Admission Requirements

5.5+
  • Computer-based 183; or Internet-based 65; or
  • RUW English Placement Test with an overall band score of 5.5.
  •   If the applicant fails to successfully provide the above, then she would be required to enroll in the RUW English for Academic Success Programme.
  • A minimum average score of 60% in Mathematics in Grade 12. If you do not satisfy this criterion, you must take a compulsory course in mathematics during the first semester.
