M.A - English (Online)

M.A. (Master of Arts) English is a postgraduate programme in English is deeply involved in the areas of English Language Teaching, Technology Enabled learning, Critical Thinking and English Literature. The programme has a duration of two years which is divided into four semesters. An Arts Program is comparatively more main stream and nurtures a Broader set of skills in the chosen discipline. Our alumni has been in wonderful positions in the field of creative arts, technical writing, teaching and Human Resource Management. As a graduate of the Programme: To develop intellectual, personal and professional abilities through effective communicative skills; To ensure high standard of behavioural attitude through literary subjects and shaping the students socially responsible citizens; To enhance employability of the students by developing their linguistic competence and communicative skills; To effectively train the students for routine jobs and non routine jobs by using digital tools for teaching in blended learning contexts; To enable them to practice critical thinking skills through course materials and making them do projects and publish papers; and To inculcate reasoning skills and intellectual treats among them by critical reading of literary texts.
