The Software Engineering programme combines together widespread practical and theoretical knowledge in the development and management of large computing systems, with practical knowledge from industries that are using these new technologies with a special focus on business development and entrepreneurship.
The main aim of this programme is to produce skillful and talented graduates able to enter a wide variety of high in demand software engineering areas. It is clear that software engineering based industries will play a major role in the future development and economy of the Sultanate of Oman.

PLO1 Discuss the conceptual knowledge of the computing theories, concepts and techniques related to Software Engineering at different levels of abstraction.
PLO2 Solve real world problems through software engineering principles and methodologies, and to creatively produce software artifacts using current tools and technique.
PLO3 Apply numeracy, algorithmic and information technology skills in developing Software Engineering models and applications in a professional manner.
PLO4 Formulate the computing needs to deliver appropriate software solutions.
PLO5 Communicate proficiently the advanced knowledge orally and verbally to a broad range of audiences.
