Swiss International Institute Lausanne – SIIL is a Swiss institute teaching students from around the world in their native languages. The Institute translates and adapts partner university programs to its students’ needs. We make Swiss educational programs available to residents of different countries.

The mission of the Swiss International Institute Lausanne – SIIL is to offer Swiss educational programs to people from all over the world.

At present SIIL offers programs in Russian and English. In the academic year 2023/2024 programs in Serbo-Croatian and Spanish will also be available.

Education at the Institute uses Internet as the main connecting technology. This is due to the wide array of students' nationalities and the various opportunities for individual education.

Learning with SIIL programs can be carried out on the Institute's E-learning platform or on partner university platforms.

SIIL's online education programs include compulsory webinars with teachers and final exam interviews.

Since students from different countries come to SIIL, it is a prerequisite for all SIIL teachers to be proficient in the language of their students. Communication between teachers and students is essential for quality instruction. SIIL makes every effort to establish understanding between teachers and students and to keep the high quality of education.

The Institute is oriented to such modern trend as remote work. Thus, our programs and teaching methodology are designed to develop students’ autonomy, discipline, and self-motivation in the learning process.

1. Online Education

At SIIL, students can study from anywhere in the world. Learning takes place on a set schedule, which is crucial to maintain self-discipline in a self-study environment. 

2. Multilingualism

An important task of the Institute is to develop and implement professional educational programs in different languages of the world.

3. Learning on the Institute's E-learning platform

The students follow their programs on a simple and user-friendly personal account on the website. They also have access to the institute's mobile app. Through the app, students study the theoretical part of the subject, check their knowledge and prepare for webinars, as well as contact their mentor and ask questions.

4. Flipped-learning methodology

This method assuming self-study of the educational material and its further discussion with the teacher allows SIIL students to optimize their learning process.

5. Three-level grading system

Assessment of knowledge in all disciplines takes place in three stages. At each stage the teacher evaluates how the knowledge has been assimilated and the productivity of the students' personal work.

6. Student proactivity program

The SIIL administration encourages the development of academic activities and communication within the student community.

7. Educational partner program

This program allows you to create courses based on the experience and competence of the staff of your partner organization.

8. Personal Academic consultants

Specialists assigned to each student for the entire period of study help students understand how to use the e-learning platform; schedule webinars so students can study at their convenience; and remind them to take tests and exams for students not to have any academic delays. Students can ask their Academic consultant about any aspect of their studies and receive prompt feedback.

Period of study for all specialties is 3 years.

Graduate Programs:

● Master of Business Administration in Business Management

● Master of International Relations.

The study period is 1,5 years.

The programs are focused on training competent managers capable of coping with complex problems and find non-standard solutions. Training allows you to get the knowledge and experience necessary for high positions. Classes are based on real-life practice. Students also acquire working methods and behavioral patterns.

The format of training is comfortable: students watch video lectures and take tests. At the end of the training they receive a certificate of completion.
