Today, digital technologies are not only essential in our everyday lives, but also in the socioeconomic, industrial, tax system, healthcare system, education, banking and finance, as well as in public administration, transportation, trade, and other areas. Therefore, it is important to introduce digital technologies in all areas, attract specialists in the modernization of existing information systems, and train competitive personnel.
The Department of Digital Technology Convergence was established by the decision of the University Council No. 9(731)/1(732) of August 31, 2023, by merging the Departments of Information Technology and Postal Communication. The purpose of the department is to train personnel who possess the theories, latest tools and technologies necessary for the design, development, integration and testing of complex information systems that meet international standards and employer requirements.
The department offers programs that cover a variety of areas of digital technologies, including computer science, information systems, big data processing, database management, and cloud computing. Each program is aimed at combining theoretical knowledge with practice, as well as collaborating with other universities and organizations, which allows students to gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of areas.
The department has experienced teachers, both professors and lecturers, who are dedicated to helping students grow. They share the newest knowledge while supporting students personally and professionally.

Undergraduate degrees are usually four years in length and are taught inside the individual faculty to which students apply.

The admissions rate for TUIT is 15 percent which seems in high comparison with other universities in the country.

The application period runs during the summer for the following academic year. Applicants register to take a test and will know whether they have been successful by the end of the summer.
