About Universidad APEC
La Universidad APEC (UNAPEC) was founded in 1965 and accredited by the Dominican government in 1968. The university comprises 10 schools and colleges, including Accounting, Languages, Law, Marketing, and Tourism.
APEC University is dedicated to the full development of intellectual, physical, and moral attributes, positioning its students as essential elements of collective progress. It aims to produce efficient and competent professionals and technicians in disciplines demanded by the development of contemporary science, arts, and technology.
With a set of principles centered on preparing capable individuals to meet industry, trade, and administrative demands, higher education should aspire to:
· Generate and disinterestedly transmit knowledge based on free discussion of ideas, technical and scientific rigor, and ideological pluralism.
· Foster the integral development of personality, including qualities of maturity, leadership, entrepreneurship, and the acquisition of desired ethical, moral, and aesthetic values and attitudes.
· Educate men and women to be conscious of their obligations to society, capable of functioning efficiently in today's globalized world.
· Offer curricular content that contributes to the generation and transmission of knowledge, objective valuation of scientific knowledge, and the dissemination of national and universal culture, thereby promoting comprehensive personal development.
· Establish connections with the international community, especially with academic institutions and organizations, as an essential element of university action in today's globalized world.
· Cooperate with the national community in solving its problems and contributing to the nation's development through knowledge generation and transmission, the training of professionals and technicians useful to society, and preparation to meet socio-economic, ethical, and technological requirements.
· UNAPEC conceptualizes itself as a community of knowledge and practices aimed at forming well-rounded individuals who develop balanced missions (teaching, research, extension, innovation, entrepreneurship, technical enjoyment, aesthetic sensitivity, and values) at the Technical Higher Education, Bachelor's, and Postgraduate levels. Its various socio-educational actors (administrators, teachers, students, graduates) see their work as the production and reproduction of knowledge, seeking continuous improvement, sustainable development, and scientific research contributing to Dominican society.

UNAPEC fulfills its duty of education and instruction with a faculty possessing a professional profile contributing to the fulfillment of the institution's mission, vision, objectives, values, and philosophy. The faculty combines professional and human competencies, including analytical skills, dialogue and teamwork capacity, creativity, and proactivity to motivate and enable problem-solving, fostering leaders with an entrepreneurial attitude. UNAPEC professors have postgraduate education, specialization, master's and doctoral degrees, and over 2 years of professional experience in the area they teach to ensure a link between knowledge and applicability in the business world.
Additionally, the university has administrative staff with the required technical or academic knowledge for their roles, a good personality, ordinary reasoning, good conduct, and a minimum legal age of eighteen (18) years.
