Graduates of UNAPEC's Software Engineering program must possess the following knowledge, attitudes and skills that allow them:

  1. Manage software projects and efficiently manage financial, human, material and technological resources to maximize stakeholder profitability.
  2. Manage data services in the technological platforms of the Organizations, understanding their importance in the internal field and their impact on the competitiveness of the business.
  3. Plan, coordinate and direct the research and design of projects in organizations that require computer and technological support.
  4. To manage in a satisfactory manner and with professional responsibility the technical staff, middle managers, experts and technologists who are under his/her dependency.
  5. Coordinate project deployment activities that involve innovation, updating, software development and security of access to technological resources, complying with the international quality standards of the Software Industry.
  6. Manage companies' software resources based on the principles of business optimization and efficiency
  7. Maintain integrity, ethical and socially responsible behavior in its work at a national and international level, respecting diversity.
  8. Understand the legal environment and apply the quality and safety regulations used globally in international operations related to the software industry.
  9. Communicate assertively orally and in writing in Spanish, at an advanced level in English and possess basic knowledge of a third language.
  10. Control the quality of the software development process by establishing and applying quality tests to the software in accordance with current local and international standards.
  11. Develop innovative software solutions in compliance with the current national and international legal framework and the principles of the ACM/IEEE Code of Ethics and Professional Practice for Software Engineering.
  12. Analyze the needs of process automation in each of the functional areas of a company and develop proposals for relevant solutions to meet them.
  13. Design, Evaluate, and Implement software product and service solutions for different platforms and technologies in a competitive manner that maximize the profitability and value of the company in the short and long term.
  14. Manage Databases guaranteeing their confidentiality, integrity and availability, as well as offer security services in information technology, for national and international commercialization in all world scenarios, taking advantage of the use of it.

For applicants who completed high school in the Dominican Republic:

• Complete the admission form available on the Admissions Portal. Access the form.

• Original Birth Certificate. (If from abroad, it must be legalized at the Dominican Consulate in the country of origin or apostilled, as applicable).

• Original High School Transcript.

• Original Secondary Education Certification issued by the Ministry of Education (MINERD).

• Official medical certification properly signed and stamped, valid for no more than three (3) months at the time of submission, by a licensed physician in the Dominican Republic.

• National ID card or Electoral Identification Card, or Passport (photocopy). (For foreigners, documentation demonstrating their immigrant status allowing them to study in the Dominican Republic is required). Expand documentation.

• 2 Passport-sized Photos (2x2).

• Pass the required entrance exams.

For applicants who completed high school abroad:

• Complete the admission form available on the Admissions Portal. Access the form.

• Original High School Transcript, homologating the grades.

A student who is in one of the following situations will be prevented from enrolling: *Balance pending payment, either for tuition or for a library fine or penalty for loss of parking ticket. *Pending to choose the payment method. Condition of Academic Withdrawal. *Documents pending submission in your admission process. Inactive status. Inactive status is generated by having withdrawn the semester; i.e., total withdrawal; for not having completed the previous semester or previous semesters. Separated for disciplinary reasons. *These situations are revoked in compliance with the pending requirement.
