This specialization is part of the Master of Information Systems program. This specialization focuses on data science, which studies how to utilize data for the benefit of companies. In today's era, where data can be obtained at very high speeds and in very large quantities, known as Big Data, data science is required to find potential information and knowledge that can support companies in increasing their competitiveness and innovating. Data mining techniques are one of the sciences used in this field. In addition, data science also has the ability to recognize patterns from data that can be used for smart businesses utilizing Artificial Intelligence. Large and complex amounts of data can be processed very quickly and accurately using machine learning and deep learning techniques.

- Developing strategic IT development plans aligned with business strategies
- Managing and controlling information systems to align with business objectives and IT blueprints based on risk management
- Resolving information system issues related to data, such as integration, data migration, data retention, system updates, fraud, and segregation of duties
- Understanding several standard tools for managing Information Technology such as COBIT, ITIL, PMBOK, Octave.
- Understanding the appropriate use of information system standards from national standards bodies (ISO, IEC, BSI, NIST, IETF, BSN)
