Based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 161/KPT/1/2016, the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) “Veteran” Jakarta was officially opened and began its operational activities. This decision provides the legal basis for UPN “Veteran” Jakarta to conduct medical education, encompassing various academic aspects such as lectures, practical training, as well as research development and community service in the field of health.
With the commencement of the Bachelor of Medicine program, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta is committed to producing high-quality, professional graduates who are ready to compete in the medical world. This study program is also expected to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of health services in Indonesia, given the increasing demand for medical personnel.
The implementation of this study program will involve various learning activities supported by adequate facilities, including lecture rooms, laboratories, and collaborating teaching hospitals. With this approval, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta is expected to play a greater role in medical education in Indonesia and produce competent doctors with good clinical skills and high integrity in carrying out their profession.
