The bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Railway Systems provides specific scientific and technological training in the field of electrical engineering, with an emphasis on railway systems, both in its industrial component and in project development and technological innovation. The aim is to provide students with tools that allow them to access qualified jobs in which they will hone the professional skills set out in Law 12/1986 or that require specific instruction in railways.
Students are trained in the fundamentals of science and engineering that allow them to supervise and manage engineering projects that involve designing, analysing, constructing, checking and maintaining systems and equipment for the generation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electric power. Other fundamental training objectives specific to the railway sector are its organisation and structure and the systems of which it is composed: electrification systems, safety and signalling systems, communications systems, installations and maintenance of rolling stock. Aspects of managing and operating railway systems are also considered.

Admission Requirements
Secondary students from UE and countries with reciprocity agreements
Students from the education systems of EU member states or any other country that has signed a reciprocity agreement with Spain may apply for admission directly, without the need to sit the PAU, provided they meet the academic requirements in force in their own education systems to attend university.
These students must have adequate knowledge of the language in which the courses will be taught. The Spanish National Distance Education University (UNED) is responsible for verifying these admission requirements.
Students with started bachelor's degree abroad
For the students who have started a bachelor's degree in a foreign country (not completed) and want to continue their studies in the university, the way to apply is different depending on the number of credits susceptible to be validated for the school where they want to do the transfer:

Students with started bachelor's degree abroad
For the students who have started a bachelor's degree in a foreign country (not completed) and want to continue their studies in the university, the way to apply is different depending on the number of credits susceptible to be validated for the school where they want to do the transfer:
- Students who can validate at least 30 ECTS credits must apply for the admission directly in the school of UPC where they want to continue their studies. These students don't need to do the pre-enrolment. They should validate at least 30 ECTS of compulsory subjects from the studies where they want to apply for admission. The specific number of places availables for this way are responsibility of the school. More information in the schools of UPC.
- Students who validate fewer than 30 ECTS must do the regular pre-enrolment but applying only to the school that has made them such recognition and they have to submit the certificate validation study issued by this center.
- Students who can't validate any credit, can access to the university through the regular pre-enrolment process for students coming from abroad.
Other foreign secondary students
The students who have completed upper secondary school in a foreign country have different ways to apply, depending if they have a residence in Spain, from which country are coming and if this one has an agreement with Spain.
