The Master “ Civilizations, Cultures and Societies ” at PSL University is dedicated to the study of the different dimensions (historical, linguistic, religious, political, social, intellectual) of the civilizations and cultures of mainly Mediterranean and European areas, also both in synchrony, both in their internal dynamics and in their relationships with the surrounding worlds, and in diachrony, from ancient times to contemporary times. The training combines approaches from the sciences of scholarship (firstly, philology, epigraphy, archaeology, archival science, but also papyrology, numismatics, heraldry, iconography) and the methods of processing information specific to the human and social sciences.
