The compulsory modules on the Classical Literature and Civilisation side of the course introduce you the history and literature of Greece and Rome, before taking you to the heart of their cultures. You will also choose from a wide range of optional modules, focusing not just on Greece and Rome, but Egypt and Western Asia too, and have the option to study ancient languages. On the Philosophy side, the compulsory modules introduce you to quintessential philosophical problems and provide you with the skills you need to study philosophy. In the second and final years, you will have the flexibility to choose the subjects that interest you the most.
