B.Sc Honors degree in Psychology spans over 4 years of academic programs and shall carry a total of 4000 marks (40 units, 160 credits). The year-wise marks distribution is 950 marks for the first year and Second year respectively and 1050 marks in each of the Third and Fourth years. There is a non-credit course for 100 marks in English in the first year. A Full-unit course carries 100 marks and a half-unit course carries 50 marks. There shall be 30, 45, and 60 lecture hours (0.75 hours each) in an academic year for each theory course and at least 30 and 60 laboratory periods (0.5 and 1 unit respectively) in an academic year for each practical course. The duration of the examination of the theory course shall be 3 (three) hours for 0.50 units of 4 (four) hours for 0.75 and 1.00 unit courses. The duration of the practical examination shall be 6-12 and 12-24 hours (6 hours per day) per 0.50 and 1.00 unit practical courses respectively. The minimum marks of the grade points required for the promotion to the Second year, Third year, and Fourth year and obtaining the B.Sc (Honours) degree will be in accordance to the ordinance.
