BSED major in Science is a 4-year teacher education program that produces science teachers for the secondary level. The degree program has a good number of chemistry and physics courses to enable the graduates to teach physical sciences courses. It also contains biology and environmental science on top of the professional and general education courses that equipped the science teachers with the content and pedagogical knowledge in order for them to function as professionals who can contribute to the improvement of students’ academic achievement and in science education in general. Moreover, it is expected that the graduates will embody the USTP brand of education that includes the ability to contribute to various forms of development in the community using their skills and abilities seasoned with the ability to care for others and the environment to uphold the greater good.
