The Master’s programme in Applied Political Science is a one-year graduate degree focused on the practical dimensions of politics, political management, and public decision-making. The programme is designed to prepare highly qualified specialists capable of independently identifying research and applied problems, developing analytical tools, and applying them in research, advisory, and professional practice.
The curriculum combines academic training with practical competencies in political analysis, political strategy, political communication, conflict management, and decision-making processes. Particular attention is given to the development of skills needed for the design and implementation of political strategies, the analysis of political processes, the management of political campaigns, and the resolution and prevention of political conflicts.
The programme equips students with the knowledge and professional tools required to contribute to information and analytical support for management and policy decisions. Students are trained to use methods of political analysis, forecasting, and modern communication technologies in order to assess political developments, anticipate changes in the political environment, and formulate effective responses in both public and private sector contexts.
Graduates of the programme are prepared to work in such fields as political and public administration, political consulting, political expertise, public relations, government relations, media, and analytical support for institutions and organisations. Theoretical knowledge and applied skills acquired during the programme enable graduates to participate in election campaigns, develop and implement political decisions, conduct negotiations, and contribute to conflict prevention and settlement.
The programme also provides opportunities for professional practice in public institutions, analytical and research centres, and organisations connected with political and international affairs. Students may gain practical exposure through work placements in government bodies, representative offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad, international organisations, and national or transnational business entities.
