This curriculum is designed to meet the fast-changing challenges of 21st century healthcare, which means it's founded on modern teaching methods, a solid grounding in the sciences, and structured regular clinical contact. Here, you will experience a combination of patient-centred teaching, problem based learning led by clinicians, and clinical experience from the very start of your course - so you can be sure you will be equipped to deliver brilliant healthcare. At the end of the five-year programme, you will graduate with a UK and EU recognised MB BS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree, awarded jointly by the Universities of Hull and York. After graduating, you are entitled to provisional registration with the UK General Medical Council, and are given a licence to practise medicine.

Applicants should note that:

(1) All applicants are required to take the UKCAT in the year of application

(2) You will need to achieve Band 1 ,2 or 3 in the Situational Judgement Test part of the UKCAT

(3) Your total UKCAT score will be assigned points as part of our selection procedure, these points are determined after the UCAS deadline (as UKCAT results are published in November)
