The purpose of the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program at VinUniversity is to develop highly capable electrical engineers with a strong foundation in advanced engineering principles and significant experience in research and practical applications. The educational objectives of the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program are within three to five years after graduation, graduates are expected to:

Admission Requirements

General requirements for applicants:

  1. Have graduated with  a Bachelor’s degree  with outstanding academic performance;
  2. Possess full-time post-graduate work experience of  2 years or longer  (which may include the time period up to MBA program entrance) or  equivalent evidence of academic excellence  (e.g., a Master’s degree from a leading university or summa cum laude in a top Bachelor’s program);
  3. Demonstrate  AACC (A – Outstanding Ability; A – Aspiration; C – Creativity; C – Commitment)

Vietnamese applicants must meet foreign language requirements as evidenced by any of the following degrees and certificates:

  1. English requirements for candidates: Have an English certificate of IELTS 6.5 or higher (or equivalent) within 2 years (24 months) before the date of enrollment or graduation from master’s and/or university degrees in programs taught in English.
  2. For candidates who do not satisfy English requirement above, candidates need to:
    – At the time of admissions: candidates need to have IELTS of 5.5 or higher or equivalent as specified in Appendix II of Circular No. 18/2021/TT-BGDĐT.
    – Within 12 months from the start date of MBA program: candidates need to submit a valid IELTS 6.5 or higher (or equivalent).
