This is a flexible 4 year degree allowing you to specialise, after your first year, in an area of Psychology, including: forensic, health, neuropsychology, sport & exercise psychology, or further combinations of psychology with law, criminology, education, and psychotherapy & counselling. Through the provision of a stimulating and supportive learning environment, you’ll be provided with an introductory curriculum in psychology which emphasises the development of skills and knowledge related to the scientific and empirical aspects of the subject, but also an appreciation of how these can be applied in real world situations. By the end of your first year you’ll have understood and learned about the major areas of psychology and the main methodologies including: Biological psychology; Cognitive Psychology; Developmental Psychology; Social Psychology; Conceptual and Historical Issues in Psychology; Individual Differences; Research Methods.
