Video games are an increasingly important part of contemporary life and entertainment, and Brock’s GAME program prepares students to lead and collaborate in the creation of games. On this Game Design program, students will learn about designing dynamic experiences, creating compelling game art, managing the production process and formulating the mechanics that make games work. GAME is offered concurrently at Brock and Niagara College. Students will look at the creative and cultural context of games; the history of games, game platforms and design; and production paradigms. Students will also examine core issues that surround games, such as play, agency, narrative, dynamics and immersion.
