The BA in Film Studies program studies a sequence of critical and historical courses which examines a variety of approaches to film. The courses explore the nature of film language and develop an analytical perspective on film as both an art and a medium. Students may also engage in video production. Most courses include weekly film screenings to introduce students to all kinds of cinema. Studying a wide range of films provides a thorough understanding of the medium for future filmmakers, critics and teachers. Students may also become involved in the Brock University Film Series (BUFS) and/or Brock TV.
