The Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) is a graduate degree program designed to develop in its students the effective use of information technology (IT), to solve problems, improve or reengineer process of organizations. It provides students with theoretical or practical knowledge on various aspects of information systems planning, systems implementation, system integration and project management. The students’ understanding of these, and their proficiency and style in written as well as oral communication, are primarily attended to by the successful completion and defense of master’s thesis.
The MSIT Program aims to develop in its students: 1. A working foundation of technologies needed in order to effectively use information technology for different types of applications; 2. The basic skills in analysis and design of various information systems using structured analysis and design methodologies; 3. The ability to implement IT solutions, and 4. The skills necessary to manage system development projects.

Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission to the SLSU Graduate School must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized academic institution for Master’s program applicants and a Master’s degree for the Doctoral program applicants. Applicants are required to submit the following requirements:
Accomplished Application Form (Form SLSU-QF-GS19)
Transcript of Record (TOR) from the last school attended (with Informative or Further Studies Indicated Purpose)

Sealed Letters of Recommendation applicants from previous professors, supervisors/colleagues. (Form SLSU-QF-GS21) - Two (2) sealed letters for Master’s degree applicants / Three (3) for Doctoral degree
Research Plan/Proposal/Outline (Title, Introduction, Materials,& Methods/Methodology, References)
Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
