The Doctor of Education major in Educational management is a graduate program leading to a doctoral degree that focuses on the mastery of the subject matter and techniques of a professional field to a stage of competence in research and prepares students for a life of scholarship in an academic discipline. The work for a professional doctoral degree may extend the boundaries of knowledge in the field, it is directed primarily towards distinguished-practical performance, development, and validation of new theories, models, programs, and practices in the various aspects of the educational process.
The curriculum is consistent with the specification and competency standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
1. Corroborate advanced scientific knowledge in the field of education and educational management; 2. Utilize research concepts, creative works, and professional best practices, individually or with teams, to advance quality management of education; 3. Demonstrate judicious skills in a multipart setting for innovation development and high-quality creative work; and 4. Establish expertise-based autonomy and accountability in the management of education.

Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission to the SLSU Graduate School must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized academic institution for Master’s program applicants and a Master’s degree for the Doctoral program applicants. Applicants are required to submit the following requirements:
