This course is intended for undergraduate students who wish to study the discipline of Electrical and Electronic Engineering to Honors degree level and who may wish to achieve professional status later on. This module is designed to embrace developments in the industry, in particular the ECUK UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). The course has a first year (Level S) that is shared with the other courses in the College of Engineering. It is designed to bring school leavers in Bahrain and the Gulf region to a standard acceptable for progression to a Level 4 engineering degree course equivalent to UK approved engineering courses. The first year is designed to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills to continue with their studies at the specialist levels (Years 2/3/4) of the 4-year course.

Admission Requirements
5.5+
Applicants should obtain a Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent certified by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain with an average of no less than 60% or equivalent. In some programmes, the applicants admitted from non-scientific secondary school fields should pass remedial courses. All applicants admitted to the University should take a compulsory placement test - determined by the University - to determine their English language level.
