The program aims to prepare a highly qualified specialist in the field of education administration following modern educational standards and requirements, who has:

•             In-depth and systematic knowledge of theories of leadership, management/administration, the peculiarities of their implementation, as well as the methodology and methods of research in the field of education, the legal framework of schools, vocational and higher education institutions, national, international contexts and trends, which is essential for an education leader to effectively manage the education system and educational institutions.

•             Ability to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in the core curriculum provided in the program, in particular, the ability to analyze relevant issues to the management process of educational institutions, research important issues in the field and field, and make informed decisions and challenges based on findings.

•             Ability to understand the values of the field of education, professional ethics, social responsibility to oneself, society, and the country.

Program entails 120 credits including study and research component.

Graduates of the program are competitive in the local and international employment market and will have the ability to contribute to the development of the field, as well as to promote the implementation of the national-state interests of Georgia.

Program prepares professionals who can be employed in three areas of education - in the general administration, vocational and higher education institutions, at any level of the administrative hierarchy, both in private and public structures, in governmental and non-governmental organizations, in the Ministry of Education, in educational consulting companies, or training centers. The gained knowledge during the training will enable the graduate to occupy the position of middle or top manager and to carry out organizational-managerial, administrative, information-analytical, scientific research, expert-consulting activities."

Admission Requirements

The eligibility criteria for the admission to the program are defined as follows: a) a person with a bachelor’s degree or an academic degree equal to it, who is enrolled on the basis of the results of the Common Master’s Exam ; b) on the basis of internal/external mobility; or c) without passing the Common Master’s Exam in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Georgia.

Additional requirements for admission to the European University master's degree program are: a) University Internal Exam in Specialty; and b) a proficiency exam in English at B2 level (“The Rule on determining student's language proficiency of European University”).  The topics of the university internal exam and the criteria for assessing the knowledge of the applicants will be posted on the University website (www.eu.edu.ge) at least three months in advance before the exam date. Applicants can prove English language proficiency by submitting a document certifying relevant level of English.

The right to enroll in the program without passing the Unified National Exams: a) persons who are authorized to be enrolled at the University without passing the Unified National Exams based on the Order №224/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (December 29, 2011) “On the Approval of the Procedure for Submission and Review of Documents by Entrants/Master’s Degree Candidates/Students who have the Right to Study Without Passing the Unified National Exams/Common Master’s Exams in a Higher Education Institution”. Applicants are required to prove their Georgian language proficiency at B2 level in accordance with the rule of determining student's language competence of the European University. The following persons can also be enrolled in the program: students enrolled in accordance with the mobility rules based on the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia №10/N (February 4, 2010) - “Rules for Transfer from the Higher Education Institution to Other Higher Education Institution and Approval of Fees”.
