The program aims to train a professional dentist in accordance with modern international standards, who possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for professional activities, qualitatively uses research, ethical and communication skills, develops professionally in an ever-changing environment.

Program entails 300 credits and comprises three phases: Part I – Human Body Structure and Function (year I and year II), Part II - Mechanisms of Health and Illness (year III and year IV), and Part III - Clinical Courses in Dentistry (year V).

The learning process is conducted by highly qualified medical and dental professionals in Georgia with academic and professional experience. The learning process involves simulation procedures via mannequins, special equipment, modern digital simulation devices (e.g. Body Interact, Anatomage, 3 Dimensional Digital Anatomy Teaching device) in the Clinical Skills Centre and dental clinics. The exams are of various types and focus on testing students' theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the program is allowed to a person with a certificate of complete general education or a document equivalent to it, who obtains the right to study at the European University on the basis of ranking the scores obtained on the Unified National Exams.

 

To enroll in the program, the applicant is required to pass the following subjects: a) Georgian language and literature, English/Russian/French/German language, Biology; and b) one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics. The number of seats for subjects should not be less than 30% of the seats announced on the program. The exact percentage distribution will be determined by the program head before the announcement of seats.

 

Eligibility to enroll in the program without passing the Unified National Exams: persons ( nationals of foreign countries, who study or studied and obtained ECTS credits/qualification from a foreign higher educational institution recognized in accordance with the laws of the respective country)  on the basis of the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia № 224/N of December 29, 2011 "On Approval of the Procedure for Submitting and Discussing Documents by Applicants / Master's Candidates / Students eligible to study at the Higher Education Institution without passing the Unified National Examinations / Common Master's Examinations" have the right to enroll in the program without passing the Unified National Exams. The mentioned persons are obliged to prove their Georgian language proficiency at B2 level in accordance with the "Language Competence Rule" of the European University. The program also allows enrollment of the student in accordance with the mobility rules, on the basis of the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia №10/N (4.02.2010) “Rules for Transfer from the Higher Education Institution to Other Higher Education Institutions and Approval of Fees”.
