The goal of the program is to prepare a competitive, qualified lawyer in the local and international labor market, who will have a broad knowledge of national law and in-depth knowledge of public, private, criminal, or international law. The program aims to train a specialist who, based on the acquired knowledge, will have the ability to identify, solve, evaluate, reason, substantiate legal problems, produce legal documents, search for law sources (scientific publications, legislative amendments, court decisions), follow the innovations in jurisprudence, process and convey justified position in written and oral form, and to prepare a specialist with professional and ethical values, carrying social responsibility and democratic values. Bachelor’s educational program in law entails 240 credits consisting of courses in the major field, as well as courses oriented on developing general, transferable skills. A graduate of the bachelor’s program in law can work in the public or private sector: ministries, the Parliament of Georgia, general courts, the Constitutional Court, public law legal entities, non-governmental organizations, private companies and organizations of various profiles, private law offices, legal companies, etc.

Admission Requirements
A person has the right to be enrolled in the law educational
program if he/she holds a document confirming the completion of general education
or equivalent, and if he/she obtains the right to study at the European
University, based on the results of the Unified National Exams.
To enroll in the program, the applicant is obliged to pass
the following subjects at the Unified National Exams: a) Georgian language and
literature (the applicant must pass the minimum competence threshold
established by the legislation); b) one of the following languages: English,
German, French, or Russian (the applicant must pass the minimum competence
threshold established by the legislation); c) one of the following subjects:
History/Mathematics/Civic Education (the applicant must pass the minimum
competence threshold established by the legislation). The number of positions
for each subject should be at least 10% of the positions announced on the
program. The precise percentage distribution will be decided by the head of the
program before the announcement of positions.
The right to enroll in the program without passing the
Unified National Exams: persons (nationals of foreign countries who study or
studied and obtained ECTS credits/qualification from a foreign higher education
institution recognized in accordance with the laws of the respective country)
have the right to be enrolled in the program without passing the Unified
National Exams based on the Order N224/N, dated December 29, 2011, of Minister
of Education and Science of Georgia “On the Approval of the Procedure for
Submission and Review of Documents by Entrants/Master’s Degree
Candidates/Students who have the Right to Study Without Passing the Unified
National Exams/Common Master’s Exams in a Higher Education Institution”. These
persons are obliged to confirm the B2 level of Georgian in accordance with the
“Rule for Determining the Language Competence of the Student of the European
University”. The following persons can also be enrolled in the program: the
students who are enrolled based on the Rule of Mobility according to the Order
N10/N, dated February 4, 2010, of the Minister of Education and Science of
Georgia “On Approval of the Procedure and Fees for Transferring from One Higher
Education Institution to Another Higher Education Institution”.
