Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements – M.Tech.
Admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech.) programme shall be governed by the regulations of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), the Government of Karnataka, and the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
Candidates seeking admission must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- Possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
- Obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates of Karnataka, as per Government norms).
- Candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference for admission. Non-GATE candidates may also be admitted as per the admission policy of the Government of Karnataka, KEA, and VTU, subject to seat availability.
- Candidates must satisfy the course-wise eligibility requirements prescribed by VTU for the respective M.Tech. specialization.
- Candidates possessing qualifications from universities outside Karnataka or from foreign universities shall produce the necessary Eligibility/Equivalence Certificate as prescribed by VTU before admission.
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
