Understand how media influences society and culture. Screen production, through films and documentaries, is a powerful tool. It raises awareness, sparks conversations and advocates for change.

In the Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Screen Production cultivate your creativity as you create short films. Working solo, or in productions teams, you’ll plan and carry out every stage of screen production.

Examine masterpieces from the past to pinpoint what made them so great for their time. Build on their ideas in your own work to give it the flavour of today. You’ll learn the ‘rules’, and then break them with your own creative experiments.

Direct narrative fiction for film and television. Deepen your understanding of genre. Nurture your storytelling ability to get the message through with nuance and artistry. Test the boundaries of non-narrative short films. Learn how to pitch for a professional production and apply your skills in an industry placement.
